Everyone starts with an assessment

Before joining either program, prospective students attend a separate one-hour Intro Pottery Assessment Class for $75. It includes clay, instruction, evaluation, and firing of the assessment project. The Clay Coach evaluates readiness to follow directions, use tools safely, work respectfully, and participate in a shared studio.

Family absence	A future absence reported by the day before class may create a makeup credit, subject to the policy and availability.	The class remains used. Reporting an absence does not create a refund, makeup credit, or replacement date.
Changing a date	Use the membership makeup process when eligible.	Each reservation may be moved once if completed at least 48 hours before class and the new date has capacity.
Late cancellation or no-show	No credit for late reports, same-day cancellations, or unexcused absences.	The class credit is consumed.
Holiday, teacher illness, or studio cancellation	The missed studio class creates a replacement credit that the family can request for another available date.	The affected class credit is restored so the family does not lose a purchased class.

Kids Clay Pack absence policy

Reporting an absence is a courtesy notice; it does not preserve the class credit. To keep the class, the family must move the reservation through the parent dashboard at least 48 hours before class. The reservation can be moved only once, and the replacement date must have room.

When Clay Club cannot hold class

A scheduled holiday, teacher illness, or other studio closure is handled differently from a family absence. Monthly members receive a studio replacement credit, and Clay Pack families have the affected credit restored. Replacement dates depend on class capacity and studio approval.

Children under age nine

Kids Clay Club is designed for students age nine and older. For younger children, request a group clay class so the studio can tailor the project, pacing, and instruction to the group.
