How Kids Clay Club works
Prospective youth members begin with a one-hour Intro Pottery Assessment Class. The assessment includes clay, instruction, evaluation, and firing of the assessment project. The Clay Coach looks at each child’s readiness to follow directions, use tools safely, work respectfully in a shared studio, and participate appropriately.
- Ongoing two-hour pottery instruction
- Wheel throwing, trimming, handles, lids, spouts, and glazing
- Clay, glazing, and firing included during class
- Project progress tracking, challenges, and achievement badges
- Weekday studio sessions from 5:00–7:00 PM
- A supportive creative community
Programs for children under nine
Kids Clay Club membership is designed for ages nine and up. Families with younger children can request a group clay class so the studio can shape the project and instruction around the children’s ages and group.
